Wayne Thomas Thurman who was born February 29, 1876 and wife Jessie Caroline (Boswell) Thurman moved to Mitchell, South Dakota in 1908 with their 7 children: Glenn, Gladys, Jack, Perry, (twins) Edward "Ted" and Ernest and youngest daughter Helen. They rented the Widman Farm for a few years before purchasing thier first farm in 1916, located 4 1/2 miles southwest of Mitchell. Son Jack Conrad Thurman aka J.C Thurman was born October 5, 1902 in Corydon, Iowa. Jack Thurman would go on to marry Rose Lorraine on January 6, 1925. Below are photos of Jack Conrad's family.
